Default Under the Ice: Pictures

Tom,

Tell us about your Fantails, what particular breed? Any pictures? This year
I'm doing 2 orange & white ryunkins in my lilypond. At least I'll let them
out first, so their babies have a head start on any mixes when I put the
oranda and hopefully my big moor out this year. He has to go thru surgery
again as the growth above his eye has come back. Needless to say, I'm
procastinating, but this year will get it done well before summer, so he
has a chance to go outside. ~ jan

Great pics mcclure. Fortunately for me, I don't get much ice so on the
coldest days I check on the ponds when I come home from work just before the
light falls off. I have about 8 fantails that I left out this year for a
Canadian breeding project, so I keep a pretty good eye on them. They have
such beautiful tails on them. It sure would be cool to have your set up but
I am trying to get stuff purchased for a fantastic breeding season this
spring, so I will have to wait on the webcam setup.

Thanks for the info you sent about the particulars in a later message. I
have saved it for future use.

Two years ago I added a web cam to my pond, so I can enjoy it from my
office. I move the camera around; under water, above water - looking
at the waterfall, etc. This winter I decided to leave the camera
underwater. I thought it would be interesting to see what life is like
for the fish under the ice, during our New England winter. I posted a
couple of pictures captured from the web cam for those interested:
