No swallow is *that* stupid . . . and this winter hasn't been
particularly milder than any other.
Don't think so, Jane. He's a nurseryman, too and a countryman. I think he
can tell one bird from another! Maybe the warm autumn confused it and it
over-wintered in somebody's barn? Maybe it knows more about the weather to
come than we do? ;-)
