Anyway, I'm here, or should I say that I religiously watch
rec.aquaria.freshwater.plants. I started in the hobby when
my grade 3 or 4 teacher put an aquarium at the back of the
class and invited the students to bring fish for it. I brought the
first fish, I purchased a Bronze Cory, and one other student
later brought a second fish for the tank. Arnie Guenther's
loving parents allowed him to have an aquarium and so when
the summer break came, he took the fish home. Arnie died
last year. Presently I keep non-aggressive South American
schooling fish in an aquarium planted with (Asian) Java Fern.
Recently I saw a posting here on a plant called Tonina belem,
I would like to try raising some of that some day. There are
no snails in my tank.
