At the Coke bottling plant on Burnet, just north of 183. These are 55
gallon plastic drums, originally containing the Coke syrup. FDA sez
they can only be used once so they have a giant pile of them sitting
outside. Each has 2 3/4" pipe thread fittings on it. I'm getting a
bunch to use as a collection system for gardening, when it's done I'll
try to post some pictures. Call the number in the phone book, and ask
for "Emory". They also have a smaller barrel, maybe 45 gallons.

I just spoke with Emory. He is a very nice man and said I could post this
number for him at the Coke plant. Just call and he does indeed have them.
We'll probably buy at least ten. I am getting as addicted to rainwater
collection as I am to driving around for no other reason than to collect peoples
discarded leaves!

My fish love the rainwater and I now have baby tetra's in my tank as a result of
rainwater!

Here is his direct number, given with permission:

Emory:
832-2857

Thanks, both of y'all! I can see uses for several of these things, and
the price is definitely right.

Heck, at that price, you could cut 'em in half for planters. Might not
be the most attractive, but they'd be almost indestructible.
