If these are the fairly soft sandbur (not hard, pointy sticker -- it may
work on stickers also, but I have no experience using it on them), then I've
had good luck with MSMA. You can get it at Home Depot. It's labeled as a
crabgrass killer. Warning -- I believe that it will also kill grasses such
as St Augustine. You may also be able to use a pre-emergent, but my sandburs
germinated in the fall and are quite healthy now. I will be spraying them
soon.
