Default Sandburs... Ouch !

Aren't those called Johnson grass? I've heard the only way to kill them
is to spray them with Roundup right about the time you put wildflowers
out - Nov/Dec.

Thanks for that info... They are the hard-pointy type.
My whole lawn is this, so there's no real grass to damage.

If these are the fairly soft sandbur (not hard, pointy sticker -- it may
work on stickers also, but I have no experience using it on them), then

I've

had good luck with MSMA. You can get it at Home Depot. It's labeled as a
crabgrass killer. Warning -- I believe that it will also kill grasses such
as St Augustine. You may also be able to use a pre-emergent, but my

sandburs

germinated in the fall and are quite healthy now. I will be spraying them
soon.

Hello all... I was just wondering if there's a way to rid my lawn
of these nasty sandburs (stickers) before they come back in the spring.
Is there anything on the market I can spread or do now, to keep them at

bay?

Thanks for any replies.
