Hi All,
We're in desperate need of some help. Until recently, we had a
beautiful 10ft tree in our garden, which we inherited when we moved in.
Following a LOT of TLC,sadly it finally succumbed to a very strong wind
and gave up the ghost! Spooky had to take it down as it was
unsavable!!
Now we're left with a sizable dent in our border, and the garden is
200ft in length, so it REALLY looks bleak there now.
Our problem could be resolved by simply planting another tree in its
place, but we've now decided to try and grow a tree in a tub or pot, so
we can take it with us when we move.
Any ideas on what we could plant up? That side of our garden is planted
in oranges and yellows, so a tree with either Orange/Yellow flowers
would be great! I've tried all the plant finders I can think of, but to
no avail!
Really would very much appreciate any ideas.

I had a photinia ( red robin ) which did very well in a pot - about 6ft high
so manageable and I brought it with me when I moved house. The flowers are
white which isn't what you want, but the leaves are red so it might fit in
anyway.
