Default Last frost

yes actually it was.

I've done both. It kind of depends on my mood. I know it's not nice to be
moody with my roses. I bought some at the different stores locally and they
don't live very long (2 years tops) But we do have one store that won't
tell me what their secret is and theirs are still here after 4 years. The
most beautiful orange and the other is purple. I have one climber which is
a pain cause it grows and grows no matter how much I prune off. But I put
up with it cause it does the most prettiest white roses.

Anyway, thank you.

Okay silly question here.

Are you suppose to prune the roses before spring or in the fall?

It depends. (ha!)

Seriously though, pruning time does depend on the individual rose. Most
roses are pruned after the last danger of frost and before new growth
begins in the spring. However, once bloomers are pruned (usually) in early
summer, or immediately after they've finished blooming. There's even roses
that don't like to be pruned at all. Noisette climbers, for one. The best
advice is to know what you're growing and keep good reference handy.

Helpful?
