The Squarefoot Workshop

The workshop will include a basic introduction to the method, outlined in the book, 'Square Foot Gardening' by Mel Bartholomew, converting the method to organic techniques,
planning what to grow and general management of your plot. This is all ideal way to growing your own vegetables as managing a 4ft square plot is easy, not too time consuming -
and gives you a taste of home grown vegetables.

The Composting workshop

The workshop will focus on practical composting methods. This will include information on making compost, choosing a container, siting the compost 'heap', what to include in the heap, what to leave out, how to use the finished compost, worm composting and the latest developments in domestic compost making. There will be time for a question and answer session at the end of the workshop.
