Okay. "Homo Sapiens" aren't a "category" of plants. But we should all be
cognizant of the unity underlying biological diversity. Although there
are some important differences the plant cell shares some of the same
features as a human cell. Both plant and animal cells have a
mitochondrion, plasma membrane, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum,
nucleolus, nuclear envelope, etc. And nobody can dispute research on
plants and genetic engineering of plants raises some issues and concerns
which will be mirrored to some extent in human genetic research and
human genetic engineering.
