Default [IBC] updates on Japanese quince & mites

Sound like aphids (which are a little bigger than a flea). Spider mites are so small you can't see the color of their legs with the naked eye!!!! They make tiny webs, and that's usually what you notice.

Aphids can be washed off with a hard stream of water. Most aphids have no wings, so when you wash them off, it takes a while to walk back. No, seriously. You *can* pick them off by hand, too, but the baby aphids are hard to see. There's nothing wrong w
ith Schultz's pyrethrin spray: it's a fairly safe insecticide, and it's very effective on aphids.
