The story was on Reuters too. It's a serious report.

This is happening in the US but could happen here soon. Authorisations
for GM crop planting in EU are being awarded while there are still no
rules on 'coexistence' - or how to protect conventional /organic crops
from GMO contamination. It's a serious matter - the US is pressurising
the EU to accept GMOs under WTO rules (ie, in interests of commercial
producers) before there's proper understanding of the risks. And new
labelling/traceability rules that come into effect in April don't
cover meat products, as only the animal feed itself must be labelled.

And did you know that the judge that refused to order a recount in the
GW Bush presidential election was Monsanto's lawyer?
