Anyone cutting their grass yet? It's been so damn cold this last week

that
it's nice and firm today for a change (ie. virtually frozen!) instead of
mushy with water. Tempting to cut it, but not sure if it's too early - it
is a brand new lawn laid last August.

Cut it a couple of days ago after a prolonged fine spell.
Just in time before the snow.
The garden looks loads better as the grass was getting quite long.

The grass in general is in a sorry state; the drought last year left burned
bits and the weeds are growing back faster than the grass.

I put some seed down in December because everything seemed to be growing
including grass and weeds, but this has not been a success.
Will try again when the weather is a bit warmer.

Anyone remember the good old days when grasss didn't grow in the winter?

I even remember the days before the locals grew it in greenhouses and
smoked it all the year round.
