Someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but I wouldn't think you would want
to do a major trunk chop and root pruning at the same time or even the same
year. I would have thought you'd keep as much of the roots (for stored
nutrients) as possible to push up new growth and save the root pruning until
the following year.

Also, while I have no experience with Lime, I've done some dwarf oranges and
they seem to respond better if you wait until they can go outside before any
major chopping.

By the way - they tend to like high humidity...how do you maintain high
humidity in Denver?


So then, is the consensus that any time of year is OK to make the first
trunk cut on a Myanmar lime tree?

Are there any considerations that I should be aware of...differences b/n
tropicals and
deciduous/conifers?
