Default Wheelbarrow full of colour?

John3/3/04 7:12

My wheelbarrow has finally been retired, but I'd like to give it
one more season of usefullness by filling it with a mass of
bright colour.

Allowing for the fact that the plants to be used must be
reasonably short - maximum a foot high - and NO dark
colours as the the barrow is to be placed in a site of
honour in my "Med" garden, which varieties of plants
would you all advise?

Ta muchly.

If you live somewhere where it's likely to get as much sun as UK can produce
and can put gravel or some such in the bottom for drainage, Lampranthus
would look stunning and be unusual, too. Failing that, I'd go for Million
Bells, either in one colour or many, depending on your personal taste. They
have a huge variety of colours and bloom prolifically.
