Default Ginkgo fruit?

Gingko don't have fruit. They are gymnosperms.

The seeds have a fleshy covering called a sarcotesta.

They don't "supposedly" stink, they have a very foul odor. If you ever
smelled them, you would never forget the stench.

Female gingko trees have cone-like fruits that supposedly have a
very foul odor when they fall and start to rot. Most commerically
available gingkos are cutting grown males.

Iowa City has female Ginko trees around the University campus. When the
fruit drop, it smells like drunk students puked all over the street.
