Default fruit growth suppression

Citrus fruit growth elimination / suppression / retardation.

In a backyard: 2 citrus trees, 1 Tangelo and 1 Lemon
~ 20 years old, each 30+ ft tall, no fertilizer applied ever,
seldom watered, pruned every 2-3 years, but each one
is yielding, year after year, approximately ten (10!) full
35 gallon barrels of huge, juicy tangelos and lemons.

== Problem: Fruits are ready all at one time. Too many!!

== Comments: (1) "Fruit Eliminator", (Cl-Et-PO2Na) does
not mention any effectiveness on nor use for citrus trees
and cautions about leave discoloration. Despite this info,
does anyone have positive ex. with it (1) on citrus trees.
(2) I hate to do annual, manual blossom plucking.

== Request: What can be sprayed onto these blossoms
that will eliminate or at lest diminish this unwanted bounty?

Either chop down the trees or give away the fruit. There are any number of
help the less fortunate groups wherever you live that will be more than
happy to come get the ten 35 gallon barrels of fruit. You could sell it on
weekends if you felt like it.
But avoid poisoning the soil with chemicals. And spraying something in the
air will most certainly affect lots of other trees and plants in the
neighborhood. If you want to reduce the amount of fruit, why not reduce the
amount of tree? Hard cut it to make it a smaller tree and you will get less
fruit.
