Default [IBC] Mountain laurel Ericaceae Kalmia latifolia

I am just curious as to whether anyone has experience of or has
heard of anyone else using this native northeastern (US) species
for bonsai. I collected several large specimens from a lot that
is destined to become a road in days. I originally had plans to
use as ornamental plantings in my back yard, but became curious
about bonsai use. Thanks.........Rick

Never seen one, but other ericaceous plants (Rhododendrons,
azaleas, etc.) do fine as bonsai. Give it a shot. Acid soil,
moist but not soggy. Outdoors, of course.

I have some I collected last fall and I'm going to give it a try this spring.
