Good Evening,

I won a raffle at a club meeting last week. The plant is a young (abt
2-3 year old) Japanese White Pine. It is about 8 inches in height.
The condition of the needles is not good. They are showing a slight to
yellow coloration even some of the tips are brown.

well
seen the season you might repot it in akadama
so you will check the root pad and see if the soil is not bad or has
any root problem and if the michorrize is well alive..
after that
do you know how to repot a ewhite pine?
get informed before
that do it and leave it rest and recuperate
do not add any chemicals when you do not know problem tree has

My assumations:
1. My first impresssion is nitrogen defiiciency
2. Sun burnt or even salt water watering.

My Questions:

What can be done with the brown needles ?

If Nitrogen deficient fertilzer will green up the plant? if not Who
do you teat a plant what is sun burnt? or salt watered.?
