It's from a tropical legume, a _Mucuna_ species [there are several
species with similar seeds] It's one of the "sea beans":

The plant is a large woody tropical climber. Mucuna seeds are
recognizable by their odd hamburger-in-a-bun appearance caused by
the long wrap-around hilum.
