That is exactly what a Moebius loop is. We ladies use the same pattern
for
a kind of hood/scarf


and ratings of the Royal Navy used the same method of sewing the black silk
use in the Royal Navy uniform :-))

My reference to it before with respect to the Magnetic Field of a coil of
wire and an Electric Current was incorrect. The word I was looking for there
was the Hysterisis Loop.
