Managed to get some 'branches'? of rosemary and was wondering if i would

be
able to plant these and get them to grow into a shrub/tree

any (relevant) suggestions greatfully appreciated.

The longer you have had them off the plant, the less chance of surviving,
but give this a try.
Cut about 15cm (or if the branches aren't that long, use as much as
possible, no less than 5cm) of the branch off, making the cut just below a
leaf.
Using that cut off piece, strip about 2/3's of the leaves off from the
bottom. Make holes in a sandy soil mix that holds moisture but isn't "wet"
and place these cuttings in.
Keep moist, and place on a sunny window sill, or put out in the garden where
they get filtered light (under a tree or bush that allows sun through), and
cover with the turned over cut off from the bottom of a soft drink bottle,
creating a mini glasshouse. Just put some small holes in the plastic for
ventilation, or sit it on small blocks to lift it slightly off the surface
of the soil.
Dipping the cuttings in hormone rooting powder (from nurserys or garden
section at k-mart) will help with the success rate, and the length I have
given for cuttings is max, you may want to try less length but more cuttings
if you don't have much of the plant to use.
Good luck
