Default Easter weather forecast

EASTER WEEKEND

A rather settled start to the weekend in most places but rain moving into the N later Saturday, alway drier in the south though rather cloudy. Sunday cloudy in many places, light showers in the E. Rain moving into Scotland again by noon then sinking S by evening to the N England. Best of the sun in sheltered southern parts. Temperature maxes near average in the west (12-13C), below average (8-9C) in the east, feeling pleasant in the west where the sun comes out Saturday and maybe warm in the south on on Sunday afternoon when temperatures may reach 15C.

EARLY NEXT WEEK (INCL BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY)

Staying rather unsettled on the whole with further showery bands of rain working south east across the UK on Monday. Some showers may be heavy with the risk of local hail and thunder. A heavier band of rain working south east in the north on Tuesday then showers on Wednesday with the risk of snow over hills above 400m in Scotland then. The south may be fairly sunny and warm on Tuesday in sunshine though before becoming more cloudy with rain from the north by evening and remaining wet early on Wednesday. Temperatures generally near average in the south but below average in the north, perhaps rather warm briefly in the south though on Tuesday. Still rather chilly nights with local ground frost in places.
