Default Best snails ?

Not to mention the turtles are likely to devour them. I have almost no
snails in my turtle pond.

snails are not really recommended for ponds with fish. they are carriers of disease,
as in the intermediate hosts. they are just as likely to eat on healthy plants as
detritus and contribute significantly to the waste load. bacteria are what breaks
down the crud. Ingrid

I live in North Central Pennsylvania (Zone 5). My pond is about 1000
gallons and ranges from 1' to 4' deep. It was built last summer. It
contains many plants, 19 goldfish type fish, tadpoles, two small
turtles, newts and NO snails. Whay suggestions do any of you have
regarding the best snails for cleaning that would be winter hardy in
my zone? Thanks.
