I think that the white flowers on the shrub are a mock orange. If it is
a small leafed plant, leaves about an inch or less long and very
narrow, it is probably the native if not, it is one of the other kind.
If the smell is very strong that would help id it, but not necessarily.

Looking at pictures online, I think you may be right. There's almost no
aroma, but other than that, I think it must be some variety of Mock Orange.
