I am still new to planted aquarium so I thought this would be a good
place to ask. I have a 55 gallon aquarium(16 inches high) with flourite
and 2wpg compact flourescent lighting. My ph is 7.6 and I was wanting
to know what would be a good carpet plant to fill in the empty spots in
my aquarium that is not too difficult to grow.

Most carpet plants require lots of light. Assuming you do not have this, you
might try dwarf chain swords.

Also off the subject, I
recently added flourite to my aquarium and I have noticed that there are
a few seeds in there that started sprouting up. Does anyone know if
flourite is mined in the ground or from rivers, lakes, etc? Just
wondering if they are land or water plants that are sprouting up.

The plants did not come in with the Flourite. Something in your tank is
expanding, congratulations!
