DESCRIPTION:
Flower is a solitary, showy, funnel shaped unfurling spathe. Spathe is
6" - 9" and tapers to a point. Spadix rises from the center of the spathe.

COLORS:
White, Yellow, Pink

March to June

Focal point

SELECTION GUIDE:
Watch for brown edges or tips, or bruised areas on spathes.

Yes

HOME CULTURE NOTES:
Popular house plant and hobby greenhouse plant which needs rest period in
summer if grown indoors. Hardy to Zone 8.

PROPOGATION:
Rhizome division

Before arranging, recut stems, remove foliage that will be under water &
put in mix of warm water & floral preservative for a few hours or overnight.
Place arrangement away from direct sunlight, heat vents, air conditioners
and drafts. Water and remove dying blooms and foliage daily. To prolong vase
life, every 4 - 5 days, recut stems & clean container thoroughly. Rearrange
remaining flowers, adding mixture of warm water & floral preservative to
your "new" arrangement. Floral preservative is recommended and is available
commercially.

NOTES:
The white Calla Lily is fragrant.

I was given a calla lily for a gift. I have hear that the can be planted
out doors. I haven't been able to find and info on the how to do this.
Does anyone have ay experience with this they would like to share?
I live in Southwestern Idaho, incase climate matters for the lily plant.
We have a long growing season, but it does freeze in the late fall.
