Dustin,

If the white patch does not grow any bigger in size then the plants and the
patch will "coexist" in the bottle and both will survive over the next two
months. But, if the patch starts to grow then you have problems... it will
consume the surface of the agar and eventually run up the plants killing
them.

Most likely if you remove the plants from the flask now and rinse the plants
off well the fungus will die off when exposed to air for 24 hours and the
plants will survive if the roots are big enough. I would watch the patch
size over the next 5 days and then make my decision whether to deflask or
not.

I have a flask of Phal. gibbosa that I just noticed a tiny white fuzzy
patch in. This is the first flask I have ever bought where I wasnt able
to open it up right away. I never opened it or disturbed it so I don't
know how it got contaminated.
The seedlings are not quite ready to come out yet, the leaves are only
about 1/2" long. I am pretty confident that I could take them out and
get them to live though. What should I do?
