Default birds

I have several plants infested with greenfly and blackfly at the moment..
Bad news?? Not at all. I also have a crop of blue tit, chaffinches and
greenfinches all busily gobbling them up as fast as they can to feed nests
full of fledgelings :0)
I also have a thrush sitting on a nest she built in my tool shed right on
the lawnmower handle. Thank goodness I have geese to trim the back bits of
lawn, and a minute lawn in the front garden as I have been digging more up
every year to put plants into my cottage garden.
There is nothiing nicer than sitting in the living room looking out over the
front garden and seeing several blue tits hanging onto the rose stems
pecking away at the greenfly. I hope they leave some for the ladybirds.
Needless to say I never spray with anything. I would rather have the sound
of birdsong than perfect roses.
