Bearing in mind that this is a plug plant newly potted up (one week ISTR) it
hasn't really had time to develope magnesium deficiency, surely?

More likely a more serious problem in the potting up.

Still a little early for tomatoes outdoors (depending on where you are)
although I have chucked some Garden Pearl out to sink or swim.
