Do airport X-ray machines damage plant cutings?
Not unless you drop one of the machines on them!!!

Does anyone know if airport X-ray machines affect cuttings (or plants in
general)? Are the effects of luggage X-rays similar to that of X-rays for
humans, i.e. safe, when only done once in a while , or is there a serious
increase in the chance of damage to the plants' genetic material after
just
one scan? I took some juniper cuttings in LA and they were X-rayed in my
hand luggage on departure from LAX. I'm just wondering are my efforts
going
to be in vain.
Thanks
Alan.
