Default Do airport X-ray machines damage plant cutings?

Does anyone know if airport X-ray machines affect cuttings (or plants in
general)? Are the effects of luggage X-rays similar to that of X-rays for
humans, i.e. safe, when only done once in a while , or is there a serious
increase in the chance of damage to the plants' genetic material after just
one scan? I took some juniper cuttings in LA and they were X-rayed in my
hand luggage on departure from LAX. I'm just wondering are my efforts going
to be in vain.

When that wondrous rare mutant emerges and you cash in on it, just
remember the folk at LAX and buy them a beer or two.
