Sorry to say after reviewing plants in rice hulls, (Kelloggs' Amend), it
breaks down substantially within 3 months. It was recommended by David
Meyer, head of the Tucson Bonsai Society for the last 30 some years. I
do have to consider that he uses small percentages of each soil
amendment. Even the rice hulls is probably no more than 20-30% of his
mix. Upon further review, it has to be nixed from my soil menu. Maybe
they would be good with milk?
