Default fence and shed painting

I bought one of those cheap sprayers a few years ago, you have to
clean the spray nozzle and also apply a little oil to the mechanism to keep
it working.
The problem with fence paint is that the thickness can be inconsistent
enough to cause the sprayer nozzle to clog often.
A few years ago, I bought some fence paint which claimed to be suitable for
spraying, but now the exact same make just says suitable for brush or
roller!
I checked some other brands, and they don't mention spraying either , one
expensive brand specifically advised against it due to it containing wax.
