Default Obtaining Shallow Pots

Does anyone know where to get shallow pots?

You're after what is known as 'half pots' and they should be available
in good garden centres.

Thanks Kay, but it seems that around here (West Glamorgan) there are no

good
garden centres, since I've been looking for these pots for many years with
no success! I've also searched online, but none of the suppliers' sites

I've
found have featured half pots.

In a fit of desparation some years ago, I phoned Sankey; the guy on the
phone pointed out that pot size/shape is labelled with a single letter

such
as B or C, etc. (I think C was the shallower shape), but that the standard
pots were by far the most common. Unfortuntately, he didn't know where I
could purchase the shallow pots (Sankey only sold wholesale).

I have got some lovely clay pots specifically for cacti, and made by
Copenhagen's Botanic Gardens. I could do with an excuse to return :-)

The search continues...

I never have a problem getting clay half pots but in the last few years
have never seen plastic half pots at any garden centre or horticultural
show. The British Cactus Society (or something like that) had some shallow
plastic pots at Malvern last year but they were a bit flimsy for my purposes
and had a ridged pattern round them.

If anyone out there knows a source please enlighten us all.
