Don't supposed you could mail some of the Hyacinths to NC could ya? (They
probably wouldn't survive anyway)

Gareee,

Where are you in NC? I'm in Durham and routinely give away WHs. (Taking
a bagful over to the in-laws in Mebane tonight, in fact.) I don't offer
to mail them simply because my working hours make it almost impossible
to get to the post office to mail them.

I'm in Waynesville. If you are familar with the are at ALL, we have a whole
lots of mountains, streams, and not a whole lot else. I was on the hunt for
Barley balls a few weeks ago, and never found anything locally (as far as
Asheville even) at all. Still haven;t check at Petsmart though, which was
recommended here.

The only source at all for any pond plants, is the preboxed ones at Wal-mart
(we got two plants a few weeks ago, and they seem to be growing well) I know
everyone recommends a ton of plants for a biofilter, but short of yanking
stuff from a local REAL pond, I'm at a loss there.

I did find peace lillies at the local Lowe's, but they are $5 a pop. I got 3
of them, and all seem to be doing well. My pond though, is about 12-13 feet
square, so it's plants now are a drop in the bucket.
