Default What's causing my tomatoes to do this ?

I've got lots of large hard green tomatoes. A few of them have a dark
brown, nearly black. discoloration that covers part of the fruit. The
locaton seems random. The fruit isn't softened or in any way bloated.

Random would seem to eliminate blossom end rot, which can cause
dark brown discoloration without softness.

We've had about 72 hours of rain or tropical, dripping, humidity here
and I wonder if it's related.

Aces for fungus growth...

I look thru the gardening web sites doesn't find a picture
of anything like this.
