Default What is on the leaves of Oak leaves?

Saturday was a beautiful day to walk. As the matter of fact this
summer has been very nice.

While walking in our yard, my sister noticed the bubbles on the leaves
of oak tree. I wonder if the tree is red oak? the leaves are wide
towards the tip. The bubles on the leaves are hard, they are about
the size of small peas. Is it some kind of problem the leaves are
having?

I have couple of pecan plants (that is what the nursery man sold us
as. I have not seen the peacans yet. the plants are about 5-6 feet
tall. And the deers are always rubbing their body against their bark
or chewing the growth on the plants so that they do not get much
further to qualify as trees). On one the trees leaves also I noticed
the same kind of hard bubble.

Does any one know what are these things on the leaves of my trees?

Thanks.
