Does any one know what are these things on the leaves of my trees?

Sounds like a gall (area of malformed tissue) induced by a small wasp
(cynipid), a mite, and aphid, or some such thing. Occasionally, these galls
are caused by relatively innocuous fungi...but not on oaks as far as I know.
