Default Java Fern Planting

Java fern can grow over a foot wide, but it grows slowly. If you are
planting small cuttings, I would suggest you plant them about 6 to 8 inches
apart, and move them again in a few months if need be. My biggest java ferns
are about 18 inches across, but I've had them 4 years. The nice thing about
java fern is that most fish won't eat it.Even goldfish will usually take one
bite and decide they don't like it.

How much space does one Java Fern require? In other words how far apart
should I put the plants? Will it grow on Limestone (rock not powder).

I tried Hornwort in the GF tank, but it was gone this morning. Time for
