My Dad has some 7-8 ft leylandii that were cut back a couple of
years
ago and have never grown back properly. A local "tree person has
said
he can cut them back again and spray them with something that will
make
them grow back. Is this possible? Or just a con to get some money
out of
the old boy.
It certainly can't be a good idea to cut them back further but, I'd
give them a bit more time to recover.
Last year's long dry summer wouldn't have done them any favours.
This year's long wet one might.
