Someone asked a few weeks ago about gladioli not flowering. We
decided it was too soon.
My allotment neighbour has a bed of them all just coming into flower.

All of ours on the allotments (totally open unshaded position) are in flower
and some of our red ones there are at least half over, however, the ones in
the garden at home (competing with other flowers/shrubs) have only just
burst into bloom.
