has anyone had any luck growing this variety? i have attempted to grow it
beside many other varieties and every year it succumbs to disease or just
never really gets going. is this just a really weak variety?

if anyone has successfully grown these, how does their

taste/texture/overall
quality compare to other homegrown melons?

I have not grown New Queen. In Washington States trials in 2003 it was the
lowest yeilding ice box type. It is relatively new so disease resistance

should
not be a major problem. If you can successfully grow other cultivars like
Yellow Doll or Orchid Sweet, that I would go with the succesful cultivars
