Default [IBC] Forest grouping, recommended tree?

I would recommend ficus. You can find many of them in local Home Depot or
Lowes stores at a very reasonable priced. They come with 8 or more trees in
one container. Just cut the roots apart, they will do fine, I have not been
able to kill one yet. They do fine indoors. Put them outdoors in the summer
if you wish, they do great in that environment also. The weeping fig is the
most common sold in these stores. You can get smaller leaf figs also,
however, you may have to go to a green house to find them.

I would like create a bonsai forest with trees that are tall and
upright. It should be hardy and be able to grow indoors without
direct sunlight. What would be the recommended tree? Thanks.
