Default My Water Hyacinth caused a leak!

This has been an amazing year for my Water Hyacinth. I bought 3 plants in
May which have 90% covered my Veggie Fileter, a 3 x 5 ft pond, a 6 x 8 ft
pond, my 2 x 2ft deck pond and my 9 x 14 ft pond. Blooms are starting now
and the best growth is in the Purifalls where the WH are 2 1/2 feet tall.
Well, my 6x8 and 9x14 ft ponds are connected by a stream and I have been
losing about 2 inches of water a day. I have been pulling rocks looking for
leaks around the skimmer, looking for low spots and not finding a thing.
This morning as I was topping off the pond I finally found my leak. The WH
that are in my Purifalls (which has an 18inch spillway that is about 3
inches in height at the spillway... 60 gallons size) have grown so much that
the water cannot spill out the spillway and was going over the top of the
filter and out the pond. No wonder I lost so much water. So I composted a
bunch early this morning. I am glad I have a skimmer with the pump attached
and not a pump sitting on the bottom of the pond. Anyway... what a neat
observation and I am glad I don't have to fix a leak! btw... I only had to
give my WH potash once in June and they have thrived since then...
