Default Take a look at my schematic

I love the falls and streams. You are a huge worker with vision! Keep us
posted as you progress, please

Thoughts for what they are worth (free!).

1. You will need a LARGE flow. You might check with some of the folk in
the group about the flow that will be needed to have depth of water over so
many steep runs. You might even want them as streams with falls. Can your
pump produce the flow needed?

2. The filter system may want a slower flow than the streams. Multiple
pumps? Divided flow (cf. our valve system).

3. If each downflow has a different feed, they will all get the amount of
water that you offer them. If they exit by gravity from one pond, it will
be very hard to get the flow you want. Our two falls have four total feeds
and are serarately regulatable. We like that.

4. Could you add a veggie filter or other settlement area? Think headwaters
enlarged. With veggies, the water will handle little fish and still
function as a filer. Collects muck, easy to drain, etc. We rapidly moved
away from mechanical filtration requiring backwashing...think hassle for
ever. Our system needs annual draining via dottom drains. Baby fish grow
in the upper berm vf ponds (cf. website*.

5. Can you enlarge the pond? 1250 is great. If the deep area were larger,
your fish might be happier...and you will be as well once you get under way
using it. Your back might not like it as much now! You have done a MASSIVE
amount of digging already.

Great work. Good luck.
