The lawn and garden stores have dog repellents that are either sprayed or
spread on the edges of the lawn and the attractant posts. They work pretty
well as does the trichloro type of moth balls. Oils like cinnamon and such
will work as well. If you by chance see the dog and have your hose handy
spray it. Other than that when you see the dog and not the owner call the
warden about a loose dog. I have yet to find a real likable person when it
comes to dog's peeing on one's bushes. In fact the havahart site has some
of these sprays but I have not tried any of them.
