hello everyone!

Sorry, might be a dumb question but...

what is the difference between selfing and cloning?

My understanding is that selfing is pollinating the plant with it`s pollen,
that way, you get seeds and can go flasking.
Cloning is taking cells from a part of the plant ang grow it in flask!

Am I right? If so, what are the difference?

Thanks

Claude

| Dustin,

| Yes. I selfed it 4 years ago, but owing to a pH meter failure I
| accidentally burned up the offspring with a "hot" agar mix.
| One keiki from this plant sold for $2,000 two years ago to a collector
in
| Taiwan.
|
| The main plant is spiking again so I will be trying another selfing
soon.
| This pure white flower just takes my breath away... it is really
| magnificent.
