Supposedly overwinters in dirt at pond bottom.
I kept parrots feather alive in my pond over winter for 3 or 4 years.
I just anchored it in a small pot of pea gravel. No dirt necessary.
The pot is just an anchor. I cut it back and set the pot in deep water
during the winter and I'm in zone 6.
