I am in the process of setting up a water garden. Since I'm in the plumbing
business I have access to Little Giant pumps at great pricing. But the
question is: are they any good (longevity, energy consumption, etc.).

Just remember Little Giant makes many pumps in the typical plumber's variety
AND as a water garden model, and you may not get the same price for the water
garden model which will be all black with a 16-20' cord instead of the skimpy
6-8 foot cord.
